At Growing Place Family Preschool, children are encouraged, respected, and supported in their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. We take great pride not only in providing the highest quality early childhood experience for young children but also in fostering a sense of community among children, teachers, families, and alumni that has been built and maintained over the past ten years.
Expressing our gratitude for the community's ongoing support, advocacy, and celebration doesn’t fully capture our appreciation. Our school couldn’t keep thriving without the help and generosity of people like you.
GPFP is a place where children can explore in a safe and nurturing environment. It is a space where teachers inspire children to discover their interests, explore their natural curiosity and creativity, and build self-confidence, independence, and meaningful relationships. GPFP is a community where parents feel supported and teachers feel valued in their work with families.
Over the past ten years, we have listened to children’s voices as they share their thoughts and feelings about our school. A child new to our school told his teacher, “I belong here. My new school is a special place for me.” A child coming to school and being away from their family for the very first time said, “It’s okay to cry at preschool. My teachers will take care of me until my grown-up comes back.” A child moving on to kindergarten said, “I am going to miss how all of the teachers make me feel like there’s a space in the school for me.” Hearing a young child express their sense of belonging and articulate our belief that every child matters and has a place and a voice in our community is an incredible gift.
Every day, we witness children grow and thrive here at GPFP. We see teachers forming strong, meaningful bonds with children and their families. We also observe families gaining a deeper understanding of child development and parenting. Thank you for letting us be part of your family's journey and for trusting us to provide a loving space to do so.
While we will always provide children and families with the highest quality early childhood experience and education, and give teachers a nurturing and supportive space to practice, we need you.
Many people support various causes during this season. We invite you and your family to consider making a tax-deductible donation to our school’s Annual Giving Campaign.
The main goal of the Annual Giving Campaign is to fully fund our school’s operational budget. Like many nonprofit, independent schools, we depend on this fundraising to bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of running a preschool.
Closing this financial gap through fundraising gives the school the greatest flexibility to allocate funds where they are most needed. These include educational materials, building and maintenance needs, support and benefits for teachers, staff development, maintaining some of the best teacher-child ratios in Early Education, and providing financial aid for families in need. Thanks to fundraising efforts like the Annual Giving Campaign, we have so far been able to provide over $160,000 in financial aid to families whose children might not have otherwise been able to attend GP.
Therefore, fundraising is a vital part of our yearly budget.
We hope everyone in our community can take part in this fundraising effort, regardless of how much you are able to contribute. We understand that not every family may be in a position to donate. Please remember that it’s not about how much you give, but about giving. Every donation to GPFP benefits every classroom, teacher, child and family.
The Annual Giving Campaign is our largest fundraiser of the year, and we need your support to make it successful. Last year, we raised nearly $10,000 through this effort. Please consider donating now.
You can double your impact through corporate matching. We have greatly benefited from company matching and are very grateful.
You can expand our reach even further by involving your extended family and friends. Have them donate in honor of your child.
